Rio Indio will pick up the clients at 9.00 a.m. in the hotel in San José and transfer by van to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí (1 1/2 hours). Departure by roofed boat with comfortable seating leaves Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui at 11:00 a.m. to Río Indio on a pleasant trip of 3.00 hours through the Sarapiqui and San Juan rivers. Arrive at the Lodge at 2.00 p.m.
Lunch is served and guests´ rooms are assigned. In the afternoon Clients can enjoy the swimming pool and the areas of the hotel.
4.00 p.m. Visit the San Juan del Norte Village (guide include). A walk through the form of life of the population of this village. Arrive to the hotel at 5.30 p.m. and resting. (Guests can use installations in the hotel)
7.30 p.m. Buffet Dinner at the hotel with bottle of champagne courtesy of Río Indio.
9.00 p.m. Night Tour (clients can touch small caimans and crocodiles). A trip on boat to the surroundings of the hotel to observe up close the behavior of the flora and fauna at night. Here with the help of our Indian guides clients can hold in their hands small caimans and crocodiles to observe their behaviors up close.
10.00 p.m. arrive to the hotel and rest.
Second Day:
Lavish Breakfast at 7.30 a.m.
9.30 a.m. Kayaking with Indian guide through the channels of Rio Indio River. In this tour our guide lead the clients in a beautiful path so they can stay in touch in the silence of the jungle. (boat and drinks are include ).
11.30 Clients arrive at the hotel.
12.30 Buffet lunch in the hotel.
2.00 p.m. Birds watching and Greytown Tour. In the area, 220 species of birds have been identified, due to the wide variety of fruit trees and the presence of certain insects there. In the old San Juan del Norte area, dubbed "Greytown" during British rule, is a natural feeding place where birders can observe several species, in addition to visiting the ruins of this "ghost town". This half-day tour is made on boat in a area 15 minutes away from the lodge and includes transportation, guide, beverages, fresh fruit and snacks. Binoculars may optionally. (Tour will depend to the weather conditions).
2 optional tour "Laguna Silico" Adventure.
This exciting, panoramic tour on roofed boat with comfortable seating leaves the lodge, passes through channels and lagoons and takes you to majestic Sílico Lagoon. Along the way, you can enjoy viewing several different local species of flora and fauna (mammals, birds, reptiles and magnificent exotic plants). Included are sandwiches, soft drinks, fresh fruit. The boat is operated by an experienced navigator, which also carries a bilingual Indian guide.
4.00 p.m. Arrive to the hotel. Clients can enjoy the swimming pool and the areas of the hotel.
7.30 p.m. Dinner at the Restaurant with bottle of wine.
Third Day:
Light Breakfast at 4.30 a.m.
Check out at 4.50 a.m.
5.00 a.m. Early departure from hotel and transfer to Barra del Colorado (small jungle airstrip)
6.15 a.m. Arrive to Barra del Colorado and Trip by plane to San José (30 minute flight)
7.00 a.m. Arrive to Tobías Bolaños airport (local airport) and transfer by van to the hotel in San José.
Rate includes: Air conditioned Suite, taxes, ground, fluvial, air transportation, visa to get in/out of Nicaraguan territory. All meals and beverages and tours included.
