This ride starts in Orosi and takes you to wild Tapanti National Park 12 kilometers away along a level gravel road. Upon entering Tapanti, we have the option of extending the ride further into the park or taking a short hike followed by a refreshing swim in the river.
This park protects a large area of the northern watershed of the Cordillera de Talamanca. There are several giant tree species present in the park, such as giant mahoganies and Spanish cedar. Wildlife includes monkeys, ocelots, jaguars plus 300 bird species including the magnificent quetzal.
All bike tours include hotel pick-up and drop-off, breakfast, lunch, hydration, park entrance fees and rental of bicycle and safety equipment.
